Allison Blanchette, RMT
Allison Blanchette graduated from the 3000 hour program from West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She initially became interested in massage therapy after witnessing her sister benefit from it. After just one treatment, her sister had such a significant decrease in pain and with that, she found her career.
In 2010, she took a Spa Practitioner course at a Holistic school which gave her more of a whole body approach to treatment. With this experience, she has an appreciation for combining relaxation with a therapeutic treatment.
As an RMT, Allison believes one the greatest qualities she can include in treatment, is listening to the patient. Through the interview and assessment, she is able to tailor her treatments to suit the patients' needs. A treatment is not a one size fits all! Allison uses a variety of techniques, such as myofascial release, swedish massage, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, amongst others to help her patients with their musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Recommendations to activities of daily living along with other homecare is given to prolong the treatments' effects.
Allison was born and raised in White Rock, BC. After spending a few years living downtown Vancouver, she decided to make the move last year to Kelowna. She is brand new to the city and is excited for all the Okanagan has to offer!
