Katherine Mix, RMT
Katherine is a graduate from the Kelowna Campus of Vancouver Career College. Her personal experience of the benefits of massage on chronic injury during her healing journey when she first moved to Kelowna drew her to practicing massage therapy and helping others.
She enjoys working with a variety of ages, whether they are focused on maintaining or improving their health. Katherine’s treatment style includes myofasical release and trigger point therapy blended with relaxing Swedish techniques to get the most out of each appointment. She has a special interest in working on the neck and associated headaches, fascia, and relaxation-based full body massage. She is also very excited to have taken continuing education courses in IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) and Hot/Cold Stone Therapeutic Massage. Working with other professionals on a client’s care team is a priority for Katherine, as she believes it helps to achieve the person’s health-related goals and advance their overall well-being. She also enjoys making her clients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment and homecare so that they are empowered and in control throughout their healing process.
Outside of the treatment room Katherine pursues new and healthy lifestyle changes and enjoys adventuring outdoors with her dog.
