REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST
Tessa (RMT, BSc) is a Registered Massage Practitioner in British Columbia with the CMTBC. She is a recent graduate from Ontario, who obtained an "Advanced Diploma of Massage Therapy" from Georgian College—a nationally recognized and accredited program by the CMTCA. She has a particular interest in chronic pain relief, as well as the impact that massage has on relaxation, mental health and well-being.
Her education includes training in Swedish Massage and various techniques within that scope. This includes, but is not limited to: joint mobilizations, GTO, PNF stretching, fascial work, deep tissue, relaxation, pregnancy, sport, senior and remedial massages. She has had experience working with a wide demographic during her schooling, and using various modalities. Her main experiences include outreaches, where she treated those looking for general relaxation, as well as providing treatment for those suffering with chronic pain and fibromyalgia, sport injuries, and job-related injuries. Within her education, she also provided massage therapy for those with advanced pathologies, including neurological, systemic, and hereditary illnesses. As a result, Tessa aims to help you feel safe, fully informed about your treatment decisions, and as comfortable as possible when booking with her.
During your appointment, Tessa will provide a full assessment, followed by an individually tailored treatment plan and massage, then home-care suggestions to meet your wellness goals. So, whatever your reason for seeking massage therapy, Tessa is dedicated to promoting your wellness, creating a welcoming and relaxing treatment room, and maintaining privacy, trust, and open-communication in every appointment.
